Ordering Fitnessgram 

The Texas Education Code, Chapter 38.101, mandates that all Texas public school students in grades 3-12 are required to be assessed annually using FITNESSGRAM starting this school year. Fitness results entered into the software must be submitted to the Texas Education Agency by May 31st, 2008.

Directions for ordering FITNESSGRAM were initially provided by the agency in October 2007. That correspondence from the agency can be viewed at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/taa/safe101907.html. Districts who did not place their order by 5:00 p.m. April  7 th, 2008, are being sent the Stand alone version of the FITNESSGRAM software, plus the test administration kit for every school in the district.  Do not refuse receipt of these materials.  Please forward the materials to each campus.

There is no charge to your district for the software; costs have been paid by a third party.

Please inform your school's IT staff to install the software for your physical education teacher and have them use the accompanying instructions in each kit. System requirements for the Stand Alone software can be found here.  If you would like to order the Small Area Network version instead, please review the system requirements here. After your review of the requirements, if you would like to switch the Stand Alone program for the Small Area Network program, please email k12sales@hkusa.com or contact Cheri Scott at 800-747-4457, ext. 2412.
