Fitnessgram User Info
New purchasers of Fitnessgram software need some basic, nuts-and-bolts information to help them get started. The information in this section will help you implement Fitnessgram, whether you're working at the school, district, or state level:
- Obtain your site license online.
- For installation instructions, visit Technical Assistance. There you'll find printable documents with detailed installation information for each version of the software.
- For troubleshooting help, use the FAQs for each version of the software found on the Technical Assistance page.
- To conduct the test, refer to instructions found in the Fitnessgram/Activitygram Test Administration Manual. Also, take the free online training course accessible from the Training section of this site.
- For software training on how to record and manage student test scores, as well as how to generate various reports, you have multiple options. You can refer to the "Software User Manual" in Appendix E of the Fitnessgram/Activitygram Test Administration Manual. You can also view the software training videos on the bound-in DVD accompanying the test manual. Or, you can view those same training videos directly from the Training section of this web site. The same section of the site provides additional information about all training options available related to Fitnessgram.
- For program objectives, refer to the Advocacy section of this site. Ultimately, the goal of Fitnessgram is to make children more physically active so they can enjoy the benefits that come with that. A big part of that involves what you do with the fitness assessment information once you've gathered it. As a result, physical education outcomes can be significantly enhanced.
